Why This Was The Best Tweakment I Had In 2024
It's a little out there (but it's also now everywhere).

I can tell you the exact moment I swore I would never do under-eye filler. It was during a conversation with a friend over a decade ago, talking about the results - and unfortunate implications - of our mutual friend's under-eye filler experience.
With age and weight loss had come a sudden hollowness under her eyes that betrayed her, making her look older than she was. Filler, at the time, seemed the only solution to this predicament - the only way to replace what was lost. So, an appointment was booked, the treatment was done, and for several weeks, all was well.
And then, suddenly, it wasn’t. The dreaded outcome occurred: the filler moved, migrated and bunched up in tiny little balls under her eyes. So, it had to be dissolved. The solution not such a good solution after all.
I’m telling you this because, after the neck, my second biggest obsession when it comes to ageing is the under-eye area. I'm fascinated by how it ages, how it changes, and which treatments are most effective for keeping it looking fresh.
Looking at my face as closely as I do - and working in the aesthetic industry - I feel like I have a reasonably good idea of how my face is going to age (obviously things could go to shit over the next few years but I remain hopeful).
My facial structure and the early signs of ageing are quite similar to my mother’s (love you mom): few fine lines around my eyes (yay) but a noticeable (and ever-encroaching) hollowness under my eyes (boo).
Because of my aversion to filler, I’ve tried many different methods to rejuvenate and refresh the under-eye area. None of them worked quite as well, however, as the treatment I’m about to dive into - which is why I’m crowning it my top tweakment of 2024 (a big accolade, in fairness).
(It works so well, in fact, that I’ve had it done in other areas of my face as well…)
